am a clinical psychologist offering long- and short-term therapy to adults, children and families who are experiencing emotional, psychological or relationship difficulties, or who simply want to embark on a journey of personal growth.
I work from a variety of therapeutic perspectives – including psychodynamic, narrative, cognitive behavioural (CBT) and play therapy – and tailor my approach to each client’s needs.
I am also fully bilingual, and offer therapy in both English and Afrikaans.
I hold a Clinical Masters degree from the University of Stellenbosch and a Masters degree in Psychological Research from the University of Cape Town. For the past seven years I’ve enriched my practice as a therapist by remaining involved with community work and academic research, focusing on individuals and communities affected by violence. I also have a special interest in autism, and in working with children and in assisting parents with effective parenting strategies.
