WIN A REIKI HEALING SESSION VALUED AT R480
Roxanne Gordon, a Jikiden Reiki Practitioner at Ambiente Skin and Body is offering one lucky winner a complimentary Reiki healing session.
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing treatment using energy to balance dis-ease in the body and mind. The benefits can be felt immediately or shortly after by reducing pain and anxiety and stress and promoting inner harmony and calm.
Roxanne had a corporate career for many years, the stressful lifestyle impacted her own health as well as the health of her children! She believes that both allopathic and alternative methods have their place in healing, and strongly believes in Reiki because it heals the dis-ease at the very place where its starts.
After a relaxing Reiki session – Roxanne provides a rigorous and rejuvenating lymphatic drainage treatment called Kekko for optimal toxin elimination.

JUNE IN THE GARDEN
Checkers is now giving out tiny DIY plant grow kits instead of those bizarre "stickies". Each little kit is self-contained with soil, seeds, pot and instructions. What a wonderful idea, and a great opportunity to motivate 'growing' this Autumn.

Patchwork shares the June vegetable plant list for those embracing the cooler temperatures yet keen to get gardening: Broad Beans, Beetroot, Chard/Spinach, Cape Gooseberry, Celery, Chives, Chilli Pepper, Lettuce, Onion, Parsley, Peas, Potato, Radish and Tomato are all good to plant now.

However, it is far more complicated than that.
Andre Ter Moshuizen explains more, here.
SMALLER, SMARTER, GREENER HOMES
SA consumers are far more conservative in their spending than they used to be. They tend to be really careful about getting in over their heads. Rudi Botha, CEO of BetterBond says, affordability remains a serious concern for most buyers as they toil under heavy debt, rising tax and increasing cost of food, fuel and utilities.

RE-MODEL / UPCYCLE YOUR WARDROBE
Re-Model your Retro or Vintage Clothing and/or Up-Cycle your Wardrobe.

Alterations is another aspect of the Fine Feathers Sewing School.

Remodelling your wardrobe is as easy as 1) make an appointment; 2) bring a few items of clothing to Sharon; 3) discuss and transform your wardrobe with her help.

The initial hour-long appointment will cost your R150. Sharon will advise what is possible & suitable to transform your clothing. Sometimes small changes or a minor adjustment can make all the difference. After the initial consultation, Sharon charges R75 an hour.

Sharon offers "Hems in a Hurry" from only R75 for a simple hem. For the more complicated hems due to fabric or cut, the cost increases slightly. Sharon can assist with the "fit and cutting" of the item for you to sew in your own time, for those of you who sew.

Sharon also offers private Sewing Lessons during the holidays at a rate of R150 per hour suited to your requirements. Sewing lessons are offered from beginners level to advanced.
