LOCAL RESIDENT TAKES PART IN THE TEARS SLEEPATHON
Local resident Madge Gibson will be taking part in the TEARS SLEEPATHON on 2 April 2016.
The Sleepathon is an initiative where participants will spend a night in a kennel at the shelter. To raise funds to channel into the lives of the most desperate dogs and cats in the southern peninsula, and carry out an act of solidarity with all those dogs who at that moment suffer illness, injury, neglect and violence, and who have found no relief yet.
Madge has committed to raising a minimum of 12 hours worth of funding however she would like to exceed this amount drastically!
The cost per hour is R150.
People can donate for one hour only, or, they could even club together to make up that R150 - e.g. 3 friends could each contribute R50 to make up the cost of covering one hour.
"I am looking for people to sponsor as many hours as possible to raise as much money for TEARS as I can. One friend has committed to cover 3 hours (R450) and another 2 hours (R300). I am happy to receive lots of single hour pledges (R150) as it all adds up one way or another." said Madge
Lew Norgarb from Norgarb Properties is pledging a full 12 hours (R1800) and would like to challenge all the local businesses to join in for this great cause.
TEARS are a registered charity (they qualify under section 18A of the Income Tax Act), so contributors can ask for a tax receipt from TEARS and their donations will be tax deductible e.g. your personal tax bill is reduced by the amount you donate (to a registered charity).
As an animal loving community we thought you may be interested in supporting this worth cause!

Alternatively Madge has arranged two main collection points for cash donations towards her campaign:
- 1.Fatima Brey of Allie’s Cafe on the cnr of Putney & Goldbourne Roads (Kenilworth)
- 2. Sue Norgarb of Norgarb Properties in 2nd Avenue (Harfield Village)
Madge says “It’s for a very good cause and I’m a huge fan of the incredibly selfless work they do. From a personal perspective I would take great pride in raising the highest number of donations for the event.”

What some people are saying about the classes.
Testimonials:
Nina: This detox program is soooo worth doing! My 17yr old daughter and I are on day 15 of the program. We were initially going to do just 7 days but we are both feeling so fantastic we're just going to carry on... Apart from feeling lighter and losing weight, we've got loads more energy, sleeping more deeply and for me best of all is the amazing alert clarity I wake up with each day. No more foggy-headedness or blah feeling. I can honestly say this is a life-changing course. Thank you Michelle! For the wise way you've developed this program and your kind encouragement always.
Angelique: I lost 3kg's in 7 days! My energy levels feel amazing. My skin is glowing!
Matthew: Michelle phew lady you're on fire! Your passion is contagious. I left the class feeling so inspired. Thank you for inspiring me to take my health to a whole new level.
Bevan: I lost 10kg's. Ive come down to a size 32 again. I never once felt hungry. I have so much energy now. My bloating, constipation & recurring bladder infections are all healed. Thank you so much for really changing my life.
***
I've been doing regular detoxes as part of my lifestyle for more than 10 years now & I have to tell you...
And then because you are making amazing juices you jam pack your body with vitamins and minerals taking in more fruit and vegetables than you can eat in a day. |
